Sam Sharma makes paintings, prints, and textile works. She worked as a doctor in general practice and palliative medicine for 20 years and is currently focusing on her art practice, working towards a masters degree in Contemporary Art Practice at Edinburgh College of Art.

Sam's work is an enquiry into themes of the body, internal landscapes and memory. The most recent work is interested in pregnancy and birth; drawing, painting and working with cloth as a way of accessing and expressing these experiences.
